Upside Down House has arrived in Gulliver’s Kingdom in Matlock Bath!

We are beyond thrilled to announce that an upside down house has landed in the most magical place in Matlock Bath – Gulliver’s Kingdom. This is the first UK theme park that is now home to our topsy turvy attraction. The Upside Down House in Matlock Bath marks the 10th House in the UK! Delivering fun experience to families has always been priority for the whole team at Upside Down House and we are excited that Gulliver’s Kingdom’s visitors will have the chance to enjoy the unique photo inverted experience that defies gravity.

Gulliver’s Kingdom’s Upside House is themed around fairies and is part of the park’s Fairy Kingdom area. The house has a slide from the upstairs level, so children don’t need to use the stairs on the way down, adding an extra fun element.

Gulliver’s Kingdom in Matlock Bath opened in 1978, as the first of four Gulliver’s Theme Park Resorts across the UK. The resort, aimed at children between the ages of two and 13-years-old, has more than 30 rides, attractions, shows and activities, including animatronic dinosaurs, the Drop Tower, Dino Falls, The Pirate Ship, and Riggers Revenge zip line.

Additionally, Gulliver’s Kingdom offers a range of accommodation options in its Explorers Retreat, including Pirate Cabins, Promenade Rooms, Princess or Wizard Suites and new The Willows, a modern accommodation offering developed in conjunction with The Wind in the Willows illustrator Chris Dunn.

Hannah Marsden, resort manager at Gulliver’s Kingdom, said: “We are always looking at ways to invest in our resort and make it even bigger and better and the introduction of a brand new Upside Down House is a really exciting step for us. Whether you’re falling from a ceiling or placing your head in a toilet, there are a host of amazing photo opportunities that can be taken by our guests and lots of fun to be had! We know the house is going to be really popular for families as well as school and uniform groups as it offers something completely different.”

Alex Barbary, National Business Development Manager at Upside Down House UK, said: “We are very excited to be working in partnership with Gulliver’s Theme Park Resorts who are dedicated to providing unforgettable experiences for families and visitors of all ages. It has been great fun working with the team at Gulliver’s to pull this off; the innovation and creativity to make the Upside Down House unique to each resort is remarkable! I’m confident that our partnership will enhance the visitor experience and I can’t wait to see what’s next.”
